(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) j CHKISTCHUKCH, 26th October. A conference between the directors of tho Grey 'Valley Collieries, Ltd., and the men was held to-day for the purpose of reaching an agreement for the resumption of work at tlio Dobson I mine, ■which has been idlo since Ist October. The conference, it is reported, was of a very fricudlj' nature, and the men's representatives have returned to1 the West Coast to submit proposals to the union which the company hopes the men will accept.
