During the holidays the same player returned four cards of 74, 75, 77, and 82. The medal round on Labour Day resulted in C. Turner returning the winning card, 84-16—08. Other cards wore: T. P. M'Carthy, 83-14-09; J. Mackay, 84-14—70; J. B. Melvin, 85-14—71; T. M. Smith, 91-29 —71; D. M. Boyd, 95-24—71; A. Runcirnan, 88-16—72;. W. E. Stuckey, 83-10—73; F, C. Denz, 86-12—74; W. Johnston, 91-16—75; M. R. Bowring, 82-0—76; L. R. Bowen, 87-12--75; R. T. Poolo, 86-9—77; J. W. Fergie, 94-16—78; L. Cornwall, 95-16—79. In the afternoon four ball-best>ball bogej; competition M. R. 80-\vring (4) and C. Tl Brown (12) returned a 9 up on the Colonel; Ellis and Boyd were C up; Bowen and Stuckey, 5 up; Denz and W. Rodgers, 4 up; Poole and Bishop, 3 up; Fergie and Mackay, 1 up. In the first round on handicap of the Vance Cup H. M. Frazer and L. Cornwall won from Stuckey and Fergie, S and 4. The second round of this cup must be played next week-end to avoid defaulting. The annual fixture for the president* trophy will be played nest Saturday after- ! noon.
