ASSETS IN THE MARKET
' Under instructions from the receiver, for tho debenture holder, a resident of Sydney, tenders are being invited for the purchase of the whole of the property and assets of Coal, Oil (N.Z.) Ltd., which for some time has been carrying on oil boring operations at Omata, near New Plymouth (states the "Taranaki Daily News"). 'These'assets include the 'oil boring plant and equipment and property at Omata, office furniture, fittings, and plant in New Plymouth and Sydney, a third mortgage from the owner of the land at Omata, two motor-cars and a truck at New Plymouth, boring leases or rights at Omata and elsewhere in New Zealand, coal leases at Westport, instalments on shares taken up,-. geophysical reports supplied by the Elbof organisation, and geological reports furnished by Dr. Bossard. In view of recent developments at Sydney, and the appointment of a committee to go into the position of the company and make recommendations, the action of the receiver on behalf of the debenture holder has come as a great surprise to shareholders of tho company in New' Zealand, none of whom, as far as] can be ascertained," had any idea that such action would occur, at any rate at the present stage in. the proceeding. ,
