In view of recent developments at Sydney, and the appointment of a committee to go into the position of the company and make recommendations, the action of the receiver on behalf of the debenture holder has come as a great surprise to shareholders of tho company in New' Zealand, none of whom, as far as] can be ascertained," had any idea that such action would occur, at any rate at the present stage in. the proceeding. ,
