(Original). Little fairy Maisio was sitting on her mushroom crying bitterly. She had hurt her wing and could not fly. Now, her littlo friend Gladness was giving a small party. Sho was asked to go, hut it was such a long way. It happened that while she was thinking Fairy Naughty, Fairyland's most mischievous pixie, was flying past. She saw Maisie there, but sho did not see the broken wing, so she thought that she would play a small trick on her. Maisie felt herself rising in the air. She tried to . speak, but sho could not. She looked over the side— what a long way sho was from tho ground! She wondered how she could get down, and felt for her magic wand; but that was left at home. Now, Fairiel was giving a lovely party too, for all the fairies she could think of. Fairiel's party was to bo first, and Maisio was going to both. As tho party started, Fairiel said: "Where is Maisie?" There was no answer. Then Fairiel said: "I will send a servant to find her. Come, Moonshine Elf. Fetch Maisie as quickly *s you can."
