Passengers on board the liner Moldavia, boand from Tilbury to Australia, bad an unexpected thrill after leaving Colombo," when, at night, the liner passed Wellington's now floating dock.
"The captain of tho Moldavia deviated slightly from his course," said Mr. G. Bagrie, one of tho Moldavia's passengers who arrived in Wellington by the Maunganui to-day, "and about 10 o'clock on the evening of 28th September wo were close to tho dock. It was very dark, but we could sec the huge, shape of the iclofcsk and tbe tugs which were towing it. Morse messages were exchanged, and nearly all tho passengers came up on, deck to sec the dock. I, heard that tho dock was travelling about three miles per hour." REACHES JAVA SAFELY. The dock has reached Java safely, according to a, cable message received. It arrived at Prisk, which is a few miles from Batavia, on Sunday last. There the dock and the accompanying Dutch tugs will be refitted for the final stages of the long tow.
