DEATH AT GREAT AGE
United Tress Association— By Elcclrlc Telegraph—Copyright. NEW YORK, 18th October. Thomas A. Edison, the famous inventor, died at 3.24 a.m. on Sunday, at the age of 84.
His wife, his six children, his personal physician, and two nurses were at his bedside when, the end came.
Dr. Hubert S. Howe said that Edison's collapse was traceable directly to the curtailment of his diet, to relieve gastric ulcers. Edison also was suffering from diabetes, Bright's disease, and uremic poisoning.
