THE NAUGHTY ELF
LITTLE ELVES: | I'm ever so glad that you liked the Bird Page so much . . | we couldn't possibly have forgotten the birds altogether, could $ we? Next thing will be all your Fifth-of-November fun: I'll want | letters about your plans and happenings .. . and stories, if you :< think of any oh, all kinds of bits for a holiday Guy Fawkes j Page! It's the last "Special" before Christmas, so we must have a 5 good one. Just remember, pixies, to write everything clearly, and | never turn over to write on the back. That's Most Important, 'cos | Printer-Man seldom looks at the other side of a page. S Lovely paintings came to me, from all over the place . . . | and the big-elf-and-the-little-one whom Postie will visit are: | "P.E.N." (17) Karori. I Bina Charlesworth (11) Lower Hutt. | Green bush and flecked sky; grey path and gauzy wing they £ were all in the besties. And these elves came very, close to the | winners: Betty Blow (14); Reta Charlesworth (6); "Merry Pal" | (13); "Silver Moon" (8); and "Irish Lily" (13). I I hope an extra half-hour of happiness is in every one of | liiese longer day? for you all. elves o' mine. t FAIRIEL $
