PLAYING AT A CROSSING

{By Telegraph.—Press Association.) BOTORUA, 12th October. Colin Paupara Dinsdale, aged two years and a half, son of Mr. Michael Dinsdale, of To Koutu, was killed instantly by tho express from Auckland at 4 o'clock this afternoon. The child apparently was playing near the To ■ Koutu crossing, and was seen to cross tho line. As tho train approached ho turned and attempted to recross, and was struck by the engine and thrown clear of the line. Tho train stopped, and the child was brought to Eotofua and taken to the King George Hospital, where Dr. Thompson pronounced life extinct. The- child's head was crushed, and he received other injuries.
