WELLINGTON BEATEN
CLUB RIVALRY
During the week-end a friendly match was arranged between the Wellington and Newtown Clubs, the A teams playing at the Wellington courts and the B teams at the Newtown courts. As there were several notable absentees, the results cannot be taken as a test of club strength. Some very close contests were seen, producing at times tennis of a good standard. Lunch was provided at the courts, and the players spent a successful day.
