ECONOMIC POSITION

KTJGBY, Ist October. Yesterday's discussions at the International Coal Conference,, which representatives of Britain, France, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Holland, and Czechoslovakia are attending in London, rovealed a satisfactory agreement on the fundamental principles underlying measures for meeting tbe economic position of the coal industry throughout Europe. The committee to-day is drafting a statement embodying the results of tno discussions. This will be submitted to tho employers' organisations in the countries concerned. A further conference will be held later.
