SYNOPSJS OF LAST 24 HOURS. ' The recent cyclone Was disappeared, and a well-developed anti-cyclone has moved on to the Dominion. Unsettled, squally weather was experienced- yesterday over the North Island and the northern districts of the South Island, with scattered rain. Some light showers also fell during: the night■ about Foveaux Strait, but over the greater portion of the South Island the weather was fair. Temperatures were cold everywhere, southerly winds .prevailing and ' blowing with considerable force in and north of Cook Strait. By this morning, however, conditions had improved, and at 9 a.m. brilliantly One' weather; was reported almost generally, the. winds haying decreased everywhere. ' :, :
