SUCCESSFUL SEASON

Thompson, chairman, at a meeting of, the Wellington Provincial Yacht and Motor Boat Association,, last evening. The main feature of the season wa» the success of the Betty in bringing the Sanders Cup to Wellington. Mr. Thompson paid a tribute to the secretary, Mr. E. J. Wilson, to whom was due much of theicredit for the associations smooth working." Cup m Wellington would mean a great deal of work during the next few months in preparation for the contest, commencing on 18th January. ■:" ;- v. ■.;, '■ ~ " .-,.!■ : > The balance'-theet showed a ; credit of £17 Us lid in the regatta and general account and £3 3ssd in the Sanders Cup account. ■. . ■: ■ The'programme arranged by the Evans Bay Yacht and Motor Boat Club for its regatta in. connection^ with the official opening of the club's season on Labour Day, 26th October, was approved. The Heretaunga , Boating Club was granted permission to open its season on 24th October. „ , ■■„ It ia expected that the Sanders Cup selector or selectors will be. appointed at the next meeting of the association, which is to be held on 15th October.
