SUCCESSFUL SEASON

The main feature of the season wa» the success of the Betty in bringing the Sanders Cup to Wellington. Mr. Thompson paid a tribute to the secretary, Mr. E. J. Wilson, to whom was due much of theicredit for the associations smooth working." Cup m Wellington would mean a great deal of work during the next few months in preparation for the contest, commencing on 18th January. ■:" ;- v. ■.;, '■ ~ " .-,.!■ : > The balance'-theet showed a ; credit of £17 Us lid in the regatta and general account and £3 3ssd in the Sanders Cup account. ■. . ■: ■ The'programme arranged by the Evans Bay Yacht and Motor Boat Club for its regatta in. connection^ with the official opening of the club's season on Labour Day, 26th October, was approved. The Heretaunga , Boating Club was granted permission to open its season on 24th October. „ , ■■„ It ia expected that the Sanders Cup selector or selectors will be. appointed at the next meeting of the association, which is to be held on 15th October.
