CHBISTCHTJBCH, This Day. After drinking from a bottle labelled "ant and -wood lice death," on Wednesday, Allen Edward Whitcombe, aged two, died in the Christchurch Hospital yesterday. At.an inquest last evening the Coroner returned a verdict that death was.due to heart failure following^ on tho consumption of some narcotic poison which the child had accidentally drunk.

"It will not affect the verdict, but it is necessary in the interests of the public," said tho Coroner, when directing that a- sample of the liquid be analysed.
