During-,the-last season the" schooj has. won.every trophy lor which it competed at the carnivals'conducted by the Hutt Valley Swimmming .Club.and m.addition carried, away from Wellington the coveted Duthje"Cup.: ' ' - 9 ' • ■-'A function arranged by the Hutt Valley/ Swimming Club was held this afternoon1 m-the King George Theatre, tower Hutt, at which the member for the district, Mr. Wv Nash, presented-the trophies; which include the following:' Duthie Cup (relay championship Wellington^ district, : boys,> .four. a. side); Jamieson Cup (for school gaming the. most points at ~the ■ annual carnival conducted, .by: 'the; Hutt.' IValley bwuninirig Club, open to. children attendiing the primary .schools' in the Hutt Valley); Blakiston Cup (relay race, four "a side, for girls attending primary ' schools .yj .*, h/ ,Hutt Galley); Baldwin ..Memorial bnield (same conditions as Blakiston Cup, only for boys instead of girls)',- fifty yards school girls' championship (open to all girls attending the primary schools'in the Hutt Valley; medal presented by. Mr. O. i W. Simpson,, Lower Hutt,, won-by Joan Jjines); fifty f yards schoolboys' championship (same conditions as girls' championship, presented by Mr. Warnes.of "New Zealand Sportsman," Wellington, won by J: Kempthorne); fifty yards b'reaststrpke charipionship (medal presented by Mr. A. 1». Thompson, Lower Hutt, won by G-. Hay); Swimming: Club's' Buttons (100 yards relay handicap, three a. side, one set each for girls and. boys). : ;'•
