The unexpected fall iv sterling om the Foreign Exchange this morning, which was followed by a sharp rally in the afternoon, is attributed in the city pages of to-night's papers' to renewed uneasiness in Paris regarding the German situation. • Press messages from Berlin, where, after three ■weeks of limited-banking business, ordinary transaction's, were resumed to-day, are, however?' teassuring. They stated that banking business was absolutely normal, and there was no difficulty in any part of Germany. The amount of money withdrawn was considerably less than was expected and in-payments in many cases were is excess of withdrawals. .
