COATS MURDER CHARGE

HEARING NEXT WEDNES-

DAY

Tho preliminary proceedings-in connection with the trial of George Urrol Coats, a labourer, aged 2ft, "ou the charge of murdering Phillis Avis Symons at Wellington on or about 2Gtli June, arc to be commenced in the Magistrate's Court on Wednesday next, 12th August.

Coats again appeared before Mr. .11. Page, S.M., to-day, when he was further remanded until Wednesday, on the application of Sub-Inspector. Ward. Mr. C. A. L. Treadwell, who with Mr. H. J. V. James appears for the accused, offered no' objection, saying that he understood that this was to be the final remand.
