TIMARU DECLINES

'A largely-attended meeting of unemployed to-night considered the question o£ affiliating with the recently-formal Dominion Unemployment - Union. It was decided by 50 vo.tcs to 15 not to lia\e anything io do' with it.
During the discussion the rliuii-iunn frtntcd that he had advised Mr. W. Xash, Parliamentary Secretary of the Lnbour Purty, to have nothing, to do with the new organisation.
Several speakers stated that the recent demonstrations at Wellington and Christchurch were organised by Communists :is part of a world-wide campaign arranged for Ist August.
