The follow mg week the- club had a 10s machine" operating at its Winter -Meeting, and the .investments amounted tp, £50S8 for the ,one day. Then at the Poverty Bay Hunt Cluo's Meeting last 'Satm day, two days aftei-Kpds;\witli the 10V machine again, bettfng wa;s~well up'fol'tfie fust two races, but then heavy lain set in and interfered wath betting, othei wise much more business would have been done. It is stated that it is the intention of the East Coast racing -authorities to have a ten-slulhhg' machine, m/futufe. *• ' '-
