(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PAHIATUA, slh August. Bush retained the Bebbington Shield to-day, outplaying Dannevirke to the tune or 14 points to nil. The weather was fine, but the ground was heavy and sticky. Ine first spell was very even,, and play was confined purely to the forwards, who wer,. well .matched. The Bush vanguard dominated practically the whole of the second spell. They wore down the defence, allowing the backs to round off some Rretty movements. - Galvin.i the Bush rover, was the outstanp.ng player on the ground, and was responsible for some clever tries. Mahoney am! S. Olliver were in the picture all the way. ' , Tries for Bush were scored by Aiteheson, Hope, Wolland, and Reeves; Mabey converted one. The victors fieldud the best nil-round team for ninny years.
