A meeting b£ the Management Committee of the Wellington Football Association was held last evening. There were present:—Messrs. W. B. Hicks (chairman), G.-Aere, J. M. Colemun, H. Power, F. Mackie, E. Anderson, J. J. Kean, S. C. Shedden, C JJ. Frittes, W. Fraser, H. opolsky, and B. A. Mabin (secretary). Mr. Shedden reported that the schools' competition had given no trouble, and was practically finished, the finals starting nest week. The primary school trials were to commence at the Kilbirnie " Stadium next Friday. The North Island tournament is due to take place on the 2oui August. The Petone Club' requested that the amount due to it from the Chatham Cup percentages should be transferred to its credit-to enable the club to know how much it had to spend and also how much would be necessary to cover travelling costs. It was considered that the request was very reasonable, and it was stated that the amounts due to clubs as their share of the gates of cup ties would be allocated to tne team travelling to Auckland The Stop-Out Club complained that the reteree appointed to control its recent match-with Seatoun had failed to turn up. ihe complaint is to be sent to the Referees Association. The Diamond Club wrote asking that as arrangements had been made with the JUanawatu Association for three teams to go to Palmerston-North on 22nd August— refu division reserve, intermediate, and nltn grade, would permission be granted. The arrangements had been made in anticipation that the WellingtonCanterbury fixture on 22ud August would give "players a free Saturday, and the iUanawatu Association had accepted tho challenges. The permission was granted. The New Zealand Council notified the clearance of J. W. Neale (South Aiickland) to Wollington, and M'Cormick (Diamond) from Hawkes Bay. With reference lo clearances in those cases where a player had left his home association for another association without obtaining a clearance and then desired to return to the original association, the New Zealand Council advised that it was thought tho only procedure was for clubs to ask .a player from another district to produce his clearance from the club previously played for, before signing him on. A further letter from the council stated that the Rugby Union was to be written to asking if there was any system in force regarding suspended players of ' sports bodies being reported for breaches pf the rules, so as to be debarred from playing during the time ."of their' suspension.' In this'connection information was requested as to whether the Wellington Football Association had any reciprocal arrangements with the Wellington Rugby Union, as it was known that some years ago there was a mutual agreement to have all cases reported.

In answer to n request that copies of the rules of the New Zealand Football Association should be available to the Wellington Committee and clubs, the council replied that'it was not able to • supply .copies, but a full supply would be available when the new rules had been drafted and put in order for the consideration of all associations. - >
