FIRE AT RAI VALLEY
THE ACCOMMODATION , HOUSE
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, This Day. The Rai Valley accommodation house on the toad to Nelson, a building owned by Mr. M. Hart and leased; by Mr. 6. Moseley, and. containing sixteen rooms.was totally destroyed'by fixe, this morning at half-past two. The eleven inmates made a hurried escape. Splendid . work on the part ,o£ residents saved' the adjoining store' and' bakehouse .owned by Mr. Hart. Very heavy frost made it difficult at first to 'obtain water.' The telephone wires were burnt through. The' insurances are not' available, but both Mr. Hart and Mr. Moseley are heavy losers.
