AMUSING SKETCHES

LYCEUM CLUB EVENING

Frequent laughter and mueh^ applause greeted tho members of the Dramatic Circle of the Lyceum Club last evening' when they performed four short sketches. The club rooms were attractively decorated, and were, well filled with members and their friends. Two shprt scenes from "Vanity Pair" were! particularly enjoj'able, the immortal "Becky" being portrayed by Mxss Keddell. Mr. V. Oswin played the part of Sir Pirt Crawley, and the other parts were taken by Misses Pagan, O'Donoghue, M'Gimpsey, and Mrs. Graham Beiry. v '•Think [Before You Speak," a very 'amusing "sketch', followed,' the characters „' being., acted -by Miss 'Ahera, , Mr. 'ChatltonJ l Miss Martin. •Mhar'/M'Ginipsey, and'.Mr./V.l Oswin. Two7other comedies,'which caused endless amusement,., were "Fifty Years Hence" .and "At the 'Pictures." The first was played by Misses Martin. M'Gimpsex, and Hill, Mr. Oswin and Mr.-1 Charlton, and the second by Miss Ahernj\MiES <M'Quarrie, Miss" O'Dono-'ghue-^'Miss'Keddell, Mrs. Berry, Mr.1 V. Oswin, Mr. Ch'arltbn^and Mr. Miller. 1 AH the sketches.-were produced by Miss, Ahem, and received* much, praise and applauso from the audience. Songs by -Miss M! Davitt, Miss "Webb, Miss Packer, andZMiss .Dillon were included in the programme, the accompaniments being playedt'-by Mis. Webb and Miss "M. Dillon. A dainty supper was haujlcd lound. The programme will be repeated to-morrow evening.
