BREWERY PROFITS REDUCED.

In common with that of every other trading concern business of the Queensland Brewery, Ltd., decreased considerably during the year ended 30th June, and profits were much lower. Gross revenue fell away by £35,160 to £147,548, and the disclosed net profit decreased by £8507 to £31,167. Earnings were adequate to have enabjed payment of dividend at the previous year's reduced, rate of 10 per cent., but the directors considered it wise to .reduce the rate to 8 per cent., absorbing £23,008, leaving £7259 to be transferred to .contingencies' reserve, which will then total £48,232, making total reserves £141,232.
