INTOXICATED FISH
I Drunken fish, it was leported a few weeks ago were being caught in 'great "TV^V* ? 1 eaiA fort ,'- on the Atlantic coast, off Sou h Carolina. Two thousand sacks of bootleg whisky were seized recently and dumped into the estuary of the river. On the following day half-a-dozen persons went fishing, and their boat returned to shore heavily laden with big nsn, which began biting recklessly as soon as the hooks dropped into the water The good news soon spread, and (according to the New York correspondent of the Daily Telegiaph") there was a carnival iisning off Beaufort, which occupied every amateur fisherman and all the available boats. All met with groat success, and the nsh taken were undoubtedly intoxicated.
