MANAWATU SEAT

(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Eveninj Post.") PALMEESTON N» This Day. Owing .to ill-health, Mr. Bon Roberts, the well-known Wairarapa farmer, whose Labour candidature for the Manawatu electorate was previously announced, has tendered his resignation. In consequence of this a meeting of branches of the Manawatu Labour Representation Committee was held at Foxton during the week-end. Thirty delegates were present. Mr. 0. H. Hunter, of Wellington, was unanimously selected as the* official''Labour candidate for the Manawatu seat. Mr. Hunter is a young married man and a native of Nelson, where he received his education. He is at present employed on the Wellington tramways.
