Chichester, the New Zealand airman, took off for Aparri, at the northern end of Luzon Island, the principal island of the Phillipines, at about 1 o'clock this afternoon, after floating in the bay for four hours waiting for enough wind to help him to rise with a full load of gasoline. : ■■ ■' His. flight of 250 miles to Aparri was made across the mountains and jungles of Luzon Island, and the bearded aviator landed his seaplane at the mouth of the Cagayan River. .-.: -.':."'..■ •..'.■ ■
