In the Olympic Club's championship, when A. Carter seemed to have the race well m hand, he had an attack o£ cramp and was compelled to ease up. C. Campbell, who was some 40 or 50 yards behind, was able to take the lead, and he won from Carter by about 30 yards. Results were as follows:—C. Campbell, 39miu 20 see, 1; A. Carter, 39min 31sec, 2; A P Thompson, 40min 16sec, 3; W. Sceats 40 mm 49sec, 4; D. Barn, 41min 25sec, 5J. Bright, 41min 26sec, 6. The sealed handicap resulted as follows:—W. Sceats, 1: Blanchfield, 2; F. Eggers, and L. Sceats, dead-heat, 3.
