REORGANISATION. PRO-
POSALS
At a mooting of the Wellington Hospital Board this afternoon the following recommendations were made by the general committee (wliich comprises all of the members of the, board): — .
"(1) That owing to the board's present financial position, tho T. G. Macarthy Home for Convalescent Children bo closed down until 31st March, 19.'J2.
"(2) That providing a reasonable offer to lease or sell the wholo or part of the land lie received, the board authorise same to be favourably considered, subject to the approval of: the sub-committee of the Macarthy Trustees. ~
"(3) That action be taken for the insertion of a clause in the '"VVnshingup Bill' to obtain authority for the disposal of the homo.
"(4) That, as a matter of policy, and economy, pending reorganisation of the medical staff, all part-time medical officers bo given three months' notice of the termination of their appointments.
"(5) That no patients be received for diagnosis or treatment from private medical or dental practitioners, except through the general out-patient department—except that, pending further consideration, laboratory examinations may be carried out for private practitioners."
