Otago Motor Club, of the Frimo Minister's opinion that alterations should be made in the present system of funds provided by direct taxation on motorists being spent on roads. The fear is expressed in motoring circles, Mr. Passmore said,' that the Prime Minister will endeavour to bring into effect his proposals to "collar" the motoring revenue for tho Consolidated Fund and various organisations throughout the Dominion are proposing to nght any such attempt. "If we cannot get a fair deal, then Jet us make ourselves felt at the next election," added Mr. Passmore. "All we ask is that when the Government makes a contract it shall carry it out as a private individual would be required to honour his agreements."
