LODGE MEETINGS
Zcalandia Lodge, No. 43, 1.0.'0.l'1., N.Z., held its fortnightly meeting recently, Bio. i>\ W. Ougley, N.Cr., presiding over a,fair attendance. Mye members were reported to be on the sick list, and relative sick pay was: passed for payment. Quarterly and other accounts were also passed for payment. One was initiated. The report of the Hall Committee was adopted. An. invitation to attend Southern Cross Lodge was accepted, and it was decided.to pay.an official visit. A vote of congratulation was accorded the secretary, Bro. E. D. Wallis, P.Gr.,'on his election, to the position of of the U.F.SI Council. A vote o£ welcome to visiting' brethren .was responded to by Bro. G. F. Rudkin, D.D.G.M., Bro.-P. Lee, P.O. (Southern Cross LodgeJ, and Bro. F. Keilly • (William Gane Lodge, Sydney), Bro. Reilly was requested to convey fraternal greetings to lodges in* New' South Wales; . The regular meeting of Waiwhetu Lodge,! No: 13G, 1.0.0.F.,' N.Z., was held recently, Bro. W. < Morton presiding over a good attendance. Bro. Hill conveyed greetings from his lodge in Napier. The Unemployment Committee was set up. Reports of committees were received, and accounts were passed for payment. The fortnightly meeting o£. Bellevuc Lodge, No. 126, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., was held recently, ,Bro. Macdonaldf N.G., presiding over a good attendance. Correspondence' was read, including invitations from Southern/Cross Lodge, Port Nicholson Encampment, and Rose of Wellington Rebekah Lodge. Accounts were passed for payment. '■ One candidate was initiated. Southern Cross Lodge, No. 24, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., held its fortnightly meeting . recently, there being a fair attendance, presided over by ' Bro. F. J. Mauger, N.G. Business was expedited, and the lodge closed: early to permit an early commencement of a lantern lecture by Bro. Leigh Hunt, P.G., on Scott's Polar expedition-. Sick pay and accounts were passed for payment, and £1 Is donated to an appeal. One candidate was nominated for membership. An invitation from the G.U.0.0.F. Lodge was accepted.' Official visits were received fronr the D.D.G.M. and staff, and from Zealandia and Kupo Lodges. The fortnightly meeting of Onslow Lodge, No. 128, 1.0.0: F., ,N.Z., was held last week. Bro. A. E. Hodgson, N.G., presiding over a good attendance. Correspondence was read, and invitations accepted. Medical 'accounts were passed for payment, and a grant was made to an urgent appeal from the South Island for a deserving case. An official visit was received from officers and' members of Southern Cross Lodge, who performed the ceremony o£ initiation over two candidates. After- essential business had been transacted,' the lodge went into harmony. : The regular meeting of Esther Rebekah Lodge, No. 30, 1.0.0. F.,: N.Z., was held recently, the N.G., Sister N. Johnson, presiding, and there was a good attendance. Invitations to P.N.G.'s Association, Port Nicholson Encampment, and G.U.0.0.F. dances, and a combined euchre party, were all accepted. One transfer was granted. Two nominations were received for membership. The district secretary, Bro. F. J. Jones, and Bro. P. Lee, Degree Master, were present. Lodge business concluded, a social and dance was held. ■
