SOUTH AFRICAN LOCAL LOAN.
Subscriptions, for a local loan recently issued by the South African Union Government totalled £7,625,903. The loan was offered in two options, one comprising securities bearing interest at the rate of 4% per cent., at an issue price of £94 10s, for which £5,126,000 was subscribed, and the other carrying 5 per cent., for which the issue price was £101 10s' per £100.
