(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WHANGABEI, This Day. 'Albert M'Caskie, aged 69, living in a whare on the gumfield at Poroti, had ■a sudden seizure and fell into the fire. ■ His dog, a hajfbrcd retriever, dragged him. from tho flames, saying him from death. - . '■ , ■
Though terribly burned, M'Caskie was able to summon help, and was conveyed to. tho WhangaTei Hospital. Among othor extensive injuries, his right hatid was charred to the bone, and will probably have to be amputated. ..,...■ ■.■;.
