DEATH IN SNOW
XRAMPER COLLAPSES
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, 12th -July. Whilo tramping through heavy snow from the Bealey Hotel to Carrington Memorial Hut, Richard W. Olliver collapsed and died. Mr. Olliver, who was a married man, aged 24, was secretary to E. Arlow and Co;, Ltd. In company with Mr. C. Tucker, an employee of the same firm, he left Christchureh on Saturday afternoon for the Bealey Hotel, sixty, miles from. Christehureh, on. the main West Coast road.
In the evening ho left for the Carrington Hut, under the mountains at tho headwaters of the Bealey Biver, but died when about four miles from. the hotel.
