Marsalek (Czeehb-Slov-akia), 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, C-2. Hecht (Czechoslovakia) defeated H. W. Austin, ,6-2, 7-5, C-4. This was Britain's first defeat ,iu'l93l. Austin was' much bolo^v form. H. J. Perry defeated R. Mcnzel, 7-5, 6-3, 7-5.. ' ■
