UNGENEROUS CRITICISM.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—You are to be commended for your sense of duty in having administered to! Mr. R. Semple, M.P. for Wellington East, a public rebuke for the undignified language lie is constantly using'on the floor ' of the: House. '.':..' -.' . The Unkind remarks which .lie ' made with reference to Mr. Forbes and his Ministry,': were altogether uncalled-for. Mr. Forbes may hava. his shortcomings, and the man who.never-made a mistake is not yet born, but I cpneeivc, sir,. that Mr. Forbes, and his 'Ministry ■ arc actuated by the highest motives-forsth'e.coun-, try's i good; ' Tho same remarks :can be applied to men like' Mr. Coates, Mr. : Downic (Stewart, and many others whose politics, although differing from those of Mr. Forbes, are honest and sincere, irrespective altogether of what Mr. Semple may thinkI.—l am, etc., ■ . • K.
