OFFICERS' REUNION

The New Zealand Eifle Brigade Officers', Association held, their thirteenth annual reunion ut the United Services Club rooms on Saturday evening, when over thirty members assembled under the presidency of Colonel E. St. J. Beere and spent a .very enjoyable time together. A full programmo of toasts was honoured, including that of kindred units, which was responded to by Colonel Cunningham, commanding the Wellington Infantry Brigade; and with the recounting of reminisences and tho singing of war-time songs and choruses tho time passed rapidly. Amongst the officers presont there wero six of the old battalion commanders. Many apologies for absence were received" -from various parts of the Dominion. In the course of general discussions it was made clear that Returned Sdldiers..V Associations;arei receiving the hearty support of ex-members of_ the Brigade,, and it was mentioned incidentally ' that -local officers had subscribed approximately. £30 towards the Christmas Cheer effort of the Wellington' Branch, the executive of which now includes"'foiir p ex-Eiflemen. ,It v was indicated, also, that interest vr&a being> maintamedj'in-: tfibfprogress of the Ist Wellington' Infantry Battalion, whoso, headquartors, and component units have adopted'the'.;distinetive;shoulder-patches of tho:'old New-Zealand Riil'o Brigade, and xipon whoso colours the Battle Honours of .that Brigade havb been emblazoned.' "Early in. the evening greetings- wero exchanged with Auckland, where some-forty officers of the Brigade had gathered for a similar reunion.
