MARKETS IMPROVING

London butter and cheese markets are wearing a brighter complexion this week compared with conditions of the past two months. The Dairy Board reports to 10th July a 9 follows:—

"Butter market firm. New Zealand retail price Is 2d per lb; Danish butter Is 3d per lb. "Cheese market firm. New Zealand retail price 8d per lb." Current prices for New Zealand salted were 113s to 115s per cwt, an advance of 2s per cwt on the week. Unsalted 114s ti> USs per cwt. Other prices were as follow:—

Trengrouse and Nathan, Ltd., London, dated 11th July:—"New Zealand butter, 115s per cwt. New Zealand cheese, white 59s to 60s per ewt, coloured 61s1 to 625; both markets firm." The New Zealand Producers' Co-opera-tive Marketing Association's weekly cabled market report from London, dated 10th July, is as follows:—"Butter: Market firm. New Zealand, 113s to 115s, unsalted 114s to 118s; Danish, 121s to 1225; Siberian, 94s to 98;*. Cheese: Market firm. New Zealand,'white 58s to 60s, coloured 61s to 625; Canadian, old season's, white and coloured, 68s to 745; new season's white 58s, coloured 59s to 625."
