QUESTION OF ADVERTISING
deferring to-day to 'the ■ statement made by Mi. A. M.. Samuel, M.P., at the Farmers' Union conference yesterday in connection with the amount spent on advertising New Zealand produce at Homo, the Minister of Agriculture (the Hon.'A. J. Murdoch) stated that 'while.it was quite true that the Government did not spend to any considerable extent in this connection the various produce control boards did. The following amounts have been expended by the boards: Dairy Produce • Board, year ended' 31st July, 1930, £18,704 2s sd; Meat Producers, 5 Board, year ended 30th June, 0.930, £13,049 14s 6d; Fruit Export Board, year ended 30th November, 1930, £244 3s 3d. This made a total of £31,998 0s sd.
