NEW ZEALAND'S SHOWING
MAILEY PAYS TRIBUTE
SYDNEY, 9th July. •Arthur Mailey, writing in "The Sun," praises the New Zealanders' good showing in the Test, and says ho would not be surprised if the visitors make close contests of the next' two Tests, especially as the Oval will be to their liking. "The Australian cricket authorities will have to take the New Zealanders more seriously in the future, and treat them as opponents rather thaa students,'" he said. "If the New Zealanders beat the Englishmen it will be a tragic blow to English cricket, since three Dominions will have achieved that distinction."
