THE SOUTHERN CLOUD

RUMOUR OF DISCOVERY

SYDNEY, 9th July. It was reported this evening that the aeroplane Southern Cloud had been found twenty miles outside Cootamundra, in southern New South Wales. Later' information stated, however, that although a prospector reports having seen aeroplane wreckage two miles from where ho was working in the wild country at Nerriga, near Cootamundra, there is no confirmation that the Southern Cloud actually has been located. The police are investigating. It is now disclosed that a similar report came from the Breadwood district last week, whereupon Air-Commodore Kingsford Smith flew to the spot, but was unable to find anything. .
