WANTED—TROUSERS
(To the Editor.)
• Sir, —As a result of working ' among some' hundreds: of relief workers -lately I. venture to make an appeal on their1 behalf. As you are aware the soup kitchens, have been of great value, in "supplying badly wanted food. We find, however,' at' the Nowtown clothes depot that a very large number pf the men are altogether inadequately clad for work'which demands such exposure, this cold'season. .In particular we ask for trousers and underwear. We have plenty of coats, but no trousers—we f want dozens of them!-If the public will send donations we can get them in bulk for a mere 7s !)d a. pair-^and good strong ones.at. that.'- Send the money and we'll get -the; pants.-. Do- it quickly..or, we.shall ■have-the breadwinners in hospital with pneumonia; and: it will be' more than trousers that will be required.—l 'am, etc!, LUCY E.-LINE,'-' , , , ' i 30,- Rintoul-st.
