The objects that the said Bill is intended to effect are to amend the Wellington City Milk Supply Act, 1919, and the Wellington City Milk Supply Amendment Act, 1926. by further amendment, containing the following operative clauses: "Amendment Act" means the Wellington City Milk Supply Amendment Act, 1926. "Principal Act" means the Wellington City Milk Supply Act, 1919. (1) Every Inspector appointed under the principal Act shall, "iD exercise of the powers vested in him either by the" principal Act or the amendment Act, have power to examine'any milk wheresoever situate, either in the City or in the further area within which licences issued under Section Nineteen of the amendment Act may operate, whether actually in transit or not which he suspects to be intended for use, consumption, or sale in the City, and for that purpose to require any person whom he suspects to be carrying such milk to stop and allow such Inspector to examine any cans or other containers on his'vehicle. (2) Every person who. obstructs any Inspector in the exercise of- the powers vested in him fey this section shall be guilty of an offence under, and of a breach of the provisions of the principal Act, and punishable accordingly. (3) In any proceedings under the principal Act or the amendment Act, relating to the use, consumption, or sale of milk, if it is proved that milk is found TRARY IS PROVED be sufficient evidence i that such milk is held for use, consumption, or sale within the City.
