TO-MORROW'S EVENTS,
A start will be made to-morrow afternoon with the second round of the senior A grade 'football championship competition, and ithis should account.for interest being further stimulated,' as after..the keen battle; with its plentiful supply of surprises, for leading places in .the .first round, the "main contenders for the pre-! miership yijH be meeting one another. The senior A game at Athletic Park to-morrow will be between Marisfc and Wellington, and, iv view of Marist's victory over Poneke last Saturday, there should, be good measure of stirring play in • this match. On both sides there are backs who can be dangerous whatever the playing conditions, and the packs are capable of displaying good form in the loose. .-The early game, commencing at 1.30 o'clock, will be between two senior B teanis-^-St. Patrick's College Old Boys (unbeaten) and Onslow. Another game of particular, .interest will be that between Poneke and Eastbourne, at Newtown Park, these two teams being equal with Wellington in second place on the championship ladder.
