SUCCESSFUL DANCE
PUBLIC WORKS STAFF i ' -\ A most successful dance was given it the Adelplu Cabaret last evening by tho staff of the Public-Works Depaii'ment. About three hundred dancers were present, and the cabaret presented a very festive appearance. Both ballrooms were used for dancing, and supper was served in the lounge. The two secretaries, Miss Beryl Downes and Mr. B. A. Burns, and a capable committee had made excellent plans for tho entertainment' and comfort of the guests. Miss Downes wore a frock of coral satin and georgette with furtrimmed coatco to tone. Other membeis of the committee \jrero Misses Marshall (who wore green lace and georgette). Pickup (turquoise inariette and lace), Tucker1 (black marocain and net), Wood'(pinjt floral cpepe de chine), and Messrs. Banks^*" "Grove?, llookcr, Montgomery,' Sutherland, Vine, and Williams. The guests, included Mr. F. W Furkort, Mr. C. J. M'Ken^io; Mes dames Wood (who woro amber velvet and tulle), Gavey (blue gcoigotto frock), Westiopp (almond gieen satin), Grover (white lace), Kissell (tuiquoise blue lace), Usher (black marocain beaded va red and gold), Hookei dado green satin), Salmon, Jefls, Mciimgton, BroT\n (black geoigette and gold lace), Walker (jade green georgette and silver), Thompson, Cuthbert (bla«k lace), Coopei (black iioek), Vino; Misses X Foley, N.
