SAILORS 'FRIEND SOCIETY.
Mr W. J. ■ Jordon -presented a programme that hit the popular taste at the Sailors-Friend: Society last night. -, The' Boys' Institute Band, • the Boomerang Band, and the .individual ■ performers ■ all. came in for encores, and Mr. A.lreraonger, • bandmaster, met with an ovation. Prizes for1 the competitions were sent by Mrs. Hayes. The performers were Mrs. Sharp, Misses Cunningham, Barr, Harper, Drew, and Messrs. E. Shnrpe, L. Drew, J. Smith, S. Preston, A. Pennington. The very warm vote of thanks was responded to by Mr. Jordon, Director of the Institute. Mr. Moore, missioner, said the mission, would be grateful for gifts of reading matter-. ■ ■
