An outbreak of fire, caused by an electric radiator which had been .left 'with the current turned on, occurred, shortly after 11 o'clock last night in the Manners street workshop of" William Corcoran,-a tailor. A number* of suits were damaged, but'the Fire; Brigade-quickly, subdued the lire with hand extinguishers.'' ■ '. At 10.20 a.m. to-day tho brigade received a call to ii two-storied briek-bujl'd-iug at 69, Kidclii'ord street, Newtown,.occupied by Ellon L. 'Townsley. A livingroom, and a confectionery shop on the ground floor were severely damaged by lire and water, and five other rooms were slightly damaged by heat aud smoke. In this case the fire was caused by an electric iron which had been left switched on.
