'interviewed to-day in regard to the statement made by the organisers ot the community sing yesterday, Mr. J. Griffiths, manager of .tho llambourgDawson ; lour, was very definite that there was never any undertaking either by Mr. Dawson or on his behalf to act as leader of the community singing. It was his iuteutiou, as it was that of the other .'members- of the company, to attend' and take part, nothing more. Mr. Griffiths said that on more than one occasion he had protested against the public announcements being made, which entirely distorted Mr. Dawson's promise. The. committee was entirely to blame.
