LONDON CONFERENCE

DATE SETTLED (British Official Wireless.) (Beceivod 9th July, 11 a.m.)' EUGBY, Bth July. The meeting in London of the expert* of the Powers which are parties to tho Young Plan will open on 17th July. Tha date has been agreed upou as the result of discussions which have been pro* feeding between tho British and French Governments. Tho experts will examine the matters upon which thai French Government offered observations in its statement announcing thai acceptance by Prance of President Hoover's proposal for one year's sus» pension of reparation and war debt pay* nients. The three main points for iuvostiga* tion by exports involvo matters .which! do not directly concern the American! Government, namely:— (1) A demand for common aetioS by the principal central banks through the Bank of International Settlements to organise assistance for European countries particularly affected by the proposed suspension of payments. (2) The question of a guarantee fund. (3) Technical adjustments gard to deliveries in kind to reconcile tho actual needs with the spirit of President Hoover's proposal. On completion of the work by experts a conference of Ministers will be called, but no date has yet been fixed for such meeting.
