The New Zealand Hockey' Management Committee met.' to-day. Tho ' Cauterbury Association forwarded the following as tentative dates for future shield matches:—Canterbury v, Waikato, Ilth , July; Cauterbury .v. Otago. Ist August; Canterbury v. Poverty Bay, loth. August; Canterbury v. Nelson, 29th August.

The Auckland.Association .forwarded a challenge for the shield, 'conditionally upon .Waikato beating Canterbury and holding the shield.in subsequent matches. The Hawke's Bay Association also sent a challenge, which was accepted. Arrangements for matches with Auckland aud Hawkes Bay wove held over. 'It was decided: ."That all challenges for the New Zealand Shield received this season be considered as conditional." ■
