Many famous flyers have received notice from Australian National Airways, says tho Sydney "Daily Telegraph." '■■''• All pilots of the Australian National Airways have received a notico of dismissal with their pay envelopes. These include such famous flyers as "Scotty" Allen, Phil Bloss, J. A. Mollison, and Eric Chaseling. "Liko many othor companies," said Air-Conimodoro Kingsford Smith to the "Daily Telegraph," "wo havo been feoling tho pinch duo to the proson t financial situation. Por some mouths tho company has been running at a loss, and we havo decided that wo can no longer continuo tho services without a Government subsidy." The tragic lqss of tho Southern Cloud and the search by A.N.A. aeroplanes cost the company thousands; of pounds and caused an interruption of its intor-State.;services. This'is one,of the main causes of tho company's present 'condition. «< . ; "There is a possibility, that lastminute arrangements may be made which will onablo the A.N.A. to. conduct ah irregular service until' the company can got on its foot again," said Air-Commodore., Smith.
